When I attend retreats or take part in yoga and wellness-related events, people sometimes say things like,
\u201cAre you Mr. Toyoshima? I know you,\u201d or
\u201cOh, Kameyama Onsen Retreat! I\u2019ve looked at your website many times. You do glamping too, right? I\u2019ve seen your ambassadors on Instagram.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hearing this, I\u2019m often surprised myself by how well known it seems to be.<\/p>\n

It may simply be because I spend a lot of time in retreat and wellness spaces, but it makes me realize that quite a few people are quietly watching and taking interest.<\/p>\n

From my side, however, I honestly don\u2019t know who is interested or what kind of retreat they are looking for until an actual inquiry comes in. That\u2019s why I would be very happy if people felt free to reach out casually, even if it doesn\u2019t immediately lead to participating in a retreat.<\/p>\n

For example, messages like:
\u201cWe\u2019re thinking about a retreat-style program for a company trip. Could you advise us on what kind of retreat might work?\u201d<\/p>\n

Or:
\u201cIt\u2019s difficult for everyone to travel to Chiba, but would it be possible for you to come as a visiting guide or facilitator and lead a retreat for us?\u201d<\/p>\n

Even if the request doesn\u2019t fit within our existing accommodation plans or program frameworks, depending on the content and the location, it may still be something I can work with.<\/p>\n

When someone takes the time to read our website or my blog and feels interested, but never reaches that first point of contact, it feels like something of a missed opportunity.<\/p>\n

Even rough ideas are more than welcome.
\u201cIf you\u2019re interested in a retreat experience with Kameyama Onsen,\u201d you might say,
\u201cThis is the kind of experience I\u2019d like,\u201d
\u201cThis is the kind of group I\u2019m thinking of,\u201d or
\u201cIt\u2019s still just an idea at this stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Starting from that level is perfectly fine. Through relaxed back-and-forth communication, we can gradually shape the outline of a retreat together.<\/p>\n

Recently, I also received an inquiry from someone in the United States about holding a retreat in Japan. It didn\u2019t come to fruition, but I had the opportunity to suggest ways of spending time in Japan, propose uniquely Japanese experiences, and offer guidance on shrines and temples that I could personally support. For me as well, it was a meaningful and valuable exchange.<\/p>\n
